Samuel Dunya: Rev. Samuel “Sam” Anthony Kofi Dunya graduated from Bethany Global University and was commissioned with his wife, Jonhild, by Bethany Gateways in 1995 to Ghana.

Rev. Dunya is the founder and General Overseer of GlobeServe Missionary Church (Accra), the director of GlobeServe Ministries International (Accra), and Chair of the Apostolic Council of the Church and Ministry Boards. He has extensive training in Biblical Missiology, Theology, and Pastoral Ministry, and seeks to make reproducing disciples for Christ, impacting as many people as possible with the Gospel. Presently, he has 52 pastors and 26 missionaries with 668 Churches in Ghana, Togo, Liberia, Burkina Faso, and Ivory Coast with more than 58,000 members, over 600 elders, and 3,000 other Church leaders working with him.

Rev. Samuel A. K Dunya serves and has served as Director of West Africa for Bethany Gateways, board member for Every Home For Christ (Ghana), executive member on the Committee on Social Intervention (Ghana), member of the Pentecostal and Charismatic Council (Ghana), ordained Minister of the Gospel of Jesus Christ (Adidome, Ghana. 1996), commissioned pastor (USA, 1995), missionary and licensed Helmsman with YWAM Ship (Anastasis, 1993).

He is a graduate of American Christian College and Seminary (1999), a graduate of Bethany Global University (USA, 1995). He completed a Discipleship Training School with Youth With A Mission (YWAM) (Odumase-Krobo, Ghana, 1989), and is a graduate of the Salvation Army College of Commerce, Akim Manso, with a degree in Business and Administration, Ghana, 1982-1985. Samuel has over 23 years of successful organization development, leadership development, and general management experience in private and non-profit organizations. Rev. Dunya seeks to live with eternity’s values in view with a great commitment to making Disciples and Planting Churches.

Dan Brokke: Dan Brokke currently works as president of an organizational leadership/marketing firm, VisionServe, and President/CEO of Bethany International and Bethany Global University. Previously, Dan worked for 24 years in the Christian publishing industry by providing leadership for DaySpring Cards, and then as Sr. Vice President and COO of David C. Cook Publishing. Dan has a BA in Theology and Christian Education from Azusa Pacific University, and a BA in Cross-Cultural Studies from Bethany Global University. Dan and his wife, Dona, have four children and five grandchildren.

Wayne Helm: Wayne Helm was introduced to Bethany International through Randy Dirks. They are both members of Celebration Church. He became an active supporter of our Engage500 initiative a few years ago. Earlier this year he traveled to Ghana to teach at a conference for Pastors and Evangelists. He attended our June Board meeting and has shown great insight and interest in the ministry of Bethany.

Wayne Helm, CFA®, CFP® has worked with Merrill Lynch as a Financial Advisor since 1996. He is passionate about helping clients pursue their wealth management goals, whether these are professional, personal or a combination of both. Wayne has been a guest speaker for the Star Tribune Personal Investment Strategies Conference, the UofM’s Carlson School of Management, and at Hamline University. Wayne has a bachelor’s degree in mathematics, an M.B.A. in finance with honors, and the Chartered Retirement Planning CounselorSM designation from the College for Financial Planning.

Wayne has served as a pastor and has been preaching and teaching the word of God for over three decades. In addition to church planting, preaching, teaching, and serving in pastoral positions in America, Wayne has ministered in approximately a dozen nations of the world. He has authored several self-study Bible courses, including Firm on the Word, a course that many ministers use to teach the core principles of the Bible. Wayne is an ordained minister with the General Council of the Assemblies of God.

Bill Couey: Bill Couey, SVP of Operations & People for Dayspring, also oversees the HR function of the company, which he has been with for the past 18 years. Prior to his current role, Bill served for six years as SVP of Greetings & Gifts. He holds a Master of Public Administration degree from San Diego State University and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Colorado.  Bill and his wife, Cathy, have four grown children and five grandchildren.

Richard L. Engebretson: Richard L. Engebretson currently works as a partner in Wealthmetrics LLC. Previously, he was the Vice President of Aviva USA, Chairman and CEO of Trusted Advisors – a financial services company that he founded in 1989, and as an employee of KPMG (a leading global professional services firm). Richard received his Bachelors Degree in Business Administration from Pace University in Pleasantville, New York. Richard and his wife, Jeanene, have four children and five grandchildren.

Dan Olson: Dan Olson is the Vice President and General Manager, Weapon Systems, Northrop Grumman Defense Systems

Dan Olson serves as sector vice president and general manager of the Weapon Systems division for Northrop Grumman Defense Systems, a broad-spectrum provider of critical technology services, sustainment and modernization, integrated battle command systems, tactical weapons and information systems, focused on evolving threats and quick-turn requirements for a wide variety of national security, military and civilian customers.

Olson leads the Weapon Systems division, which designs and produces critical products and precision capabilities to deter and defeat adversaries. This portfolio includes industry-leading precision munitions and guided projectiles, advanced high speed strike missiles, solid rocket motors, advanced high speed propulsion systems, fuzes, warheads, ammunition and gun systems. He sets the vision and strategic priorities for the division’s future, ensuring that it is positioned to grow through innovation, continuous improvement and profitability.

Previously, Olson was the vice president for Northrop Grumman Armament Systems, a business unit that creates and delivers superior armaments and services for those who defend their nation’s security. Prior to Northrop Grumman’s acquisition of Orbital ATK, Olson led ATK’s ammunition business segment and served as vice president and general manager for the company’s Integrated Weapon Systems division where he was responsible for revitalizing the business and the creation of new products and program launches.

With more than 20 years’ experience serving in a diverse career path, Olson has accumulated significant experience in strategic planning, business development and international business. He has applied these experiences to focus on the success of its people and the development of high performing teams, enabled the integration of capabilities and products to create longstanding customer relationships, expanded the company’s international business and delivered outstanding business results.

Dan holds a bachelor’s degree in business and economics from Bethel College, and a J.D. from Hamline Law School, both located in St. Paul, MN.

Bethany Friere: Bethany Friere, Dean of Women at Bethany Global University, has a passion for raising up godly women in ministry. Previously, she served for six years with Teen Mania Ministries’ Honor Academy as both a Resident Director and Curriculum Manager. Bethany graduated with a BA degree from Liberty University and holds a Masters Degree from Dallas Theological Seminary. Bethany and her husband, Ken, are expecting their first child in Spring 2017.

Rolf Garborg: Rolf Garborg currently works as the president of his own consulting company, Garborg & Associates. Previously, he worked as the VP of Sales and Marketing for Successful Living, Head of Sales for Zondervan Publishing Co., and founder of Bethany Literature Fellowship and Editorial Betania. Rolf received both his Bachelors and his Masters from Bethany Global University (then Bethany College of Missions). Rolf and his wife, Mary, have two children and six grandchildren.

Theresa Hartford: Theresa Hartford currently serves as the Secretary for Bethany International’s Board of Trustees. Theresa has served with Bethany for over 35 years in a variety of roles, both overseas and at the home office. She is the Director of Member Care for Bethany Gateways, and previously served 20 years in mission administration and leadership (including as International Director and Assistant Director). Theresa holds a BA from Bethany Missionary Training Center (Bethany Global University). Theresa and her husband, Paul, live in Minnesota and have three children and nine grandchildren.

Ron Have

Ron Have is the founder and President of Freightmasters Logistics Inc., and has served in that capacity for forty five years. He is a graduate of the University of Minnesota Carlson School of Business with a Bachelor of Science Business Administration. In 2015 his wife of forty one years passed away after a two year battle with Leukemia. They were blessed to have three daughters who are all happily married and blessed him with nine grandchildren. Ron is presently serving on the Board of Regents at Luther College of Decorah Iowa. He is a board member emeritus for University of Minnesota Center for Transportation Studies, and on the Accreditation Review Board for the School of Technology and Environmental Studies St Cloud State University St Cloud MN. He is a past board member and chairman of VEAP our regional food shelf and wellbeing organization, and past chair for 12 years of the Minnesota Transportation Advisory Council for the Minnesota Department of Transportation. Ron served for six years on the Transportation Advisory Board for the Metropolitan Council. He is a two term past congregation President and forty year member of the stewardship committee of our family church St Stephen Lutheran Church Bloomington MN.

Melanie Hurlbut: MA BTS from Western Seminary; MA Religious Studies, emphasis in spiritual formation from Columbia Evangelical Seminary; BA in Comparative Literature from UC Irvine; 25 years with YWAM as Penang base director, training director, faculty in the School of Biblical Studies and various other training schools; Program Director of the Magnum Opus Program at North Central University & the Rivendell Program at San Diego Christian College; founding board member of LifeBridge Learning Centre, Penang, Malaysia serving Rohingya refugees; teaches courses in biblical studies, missions, & theology.

Paul Strand: Paul Strand, a missionary training consultant for Bethany’s GlobeServe, also serves on the board of U.S. Center for World Mission. Previously, he was a missionary in Indonesia for 15 years, Instructor of Missions at Bethany Global University, President of Bethany Fellowship International for seven years. Paul has an MA in Missiology from Fuller School of World Missions, a BS from the University of Minnesota, and a Diploma in Bible and Missions from Bethany Global University.
