Pastor & Church Leader Forum 2019

Diaspora Ministry / Disciple Making Movements | April 5-6, 2019

Diaspora Ministry – an Incredible Opportunity Right in Our Communities!

In this age of global migration, God is moving people from unreached people groups (UPGs) right to our doorstep. What an opportunity to love these diaspora neighbors in the name of Jesus.  God is sovereignly moving people from all over the world to North America as students, business people, immigrants and refugees. Many of those coming are “unreached people groups” who have never heard the good news of Jesus. Today the world is coming to us!

Diaspora: di·as·po·ra  (noun)    “The movement, migration, or scattering of a people away from an established or ancestral homeland.”

Join other pastors and church mission leaders in discussing how your church can participate in completing the Unfinished Task of Global Evangelization through “Diaspora Ministry”.  Hear from experienced local practitioners of Diaspora Ministry focusing on Disciple Making Movements.  After seeing the big picture of what God is doing globally in bringing Unreached People Groups to our doorstep…discover practical ways that your congregation can engage with these new neighbors.

Come away with resources (training materials, videos, etc.) to help you mobilize your church into active involvement.

This missions forum is designed just for pastors, church leaders / volunteers, church mission teams, and Short-Term Mission advocates to “Join the Conversation” on current issues in missions that will effectively mobilize The Church toward its greatest global impact.

ENDORSEMENTS FROM PREVIOUS ATTENDEES

“Discipling the nations is a challenge to church leadership. However, most of us are overwhelmed by the needs around us. How do we take steps to get involved in such a monumental, global task? The Pastor / Leader Missions Forum at Bethany International is helpful in providing steps for pastors and leaders take a more proactive role in getting their churches involved. Connecting with other churches, agencies, and other leaders with the same mindset is a must. This Forum provides various seminars and avenues to help. I’ve benefited from attending in 2018.”

Kevin – Outreach Pastor; Olive Branch Church – Corona, CA

“2017 was the first year that I attended the Missions Forum, and it was exactly where I needed to be. This Forum gave me an opportunity to meet other missional minded people going through similar struggles that I would not have met otherwise. It also allowed us to take a moment to step back, and to plan a more strategic path forward in order that all would get a chance to hear the Gospel! I am very excited to be going back again this year, and this time I am bringing others with me!”

Mike – Global Outreach Team Coordinator; Evangelical Covenant Church, Bemidji, MN

“If you are interested in connecting with other church leaders to hear what is working and what can be improved in the area of foreign missions, the Church Leaders Mission Forum is a great place to start.  Material presented at last year’s conference and the ongoing support of the Bethany staff have been valuable resources as our church has worked to enhance and sharpen the focus of our mission program.”

Harold – Missions Team – Woodbury Lutheran Church – MN

“The 2017 Pastors and Leaders Forum was both inspiring and practical. Through various sessions and Round Table discussions, we were able to learn from experienced missionaries and talk through the information we were receiving, while sharing ideas and networking with leaders from other churches. The knowledge we gained through taking part in this forum has helped us to be more strategic and productive in our church mission endeavors. Using what we have learned, I feel we are better prepared to raise up, send, and support the missionaries in and from our church.”

Lynn and Angie – Missions Team – Calvary Baptist Church – Eau Claire, WI

“I have benefitted from the Pastor and Church Leader Missions Forum in several ways, but especially through the opportunity to discuss pertinent issues that I’m facing as a Missions Pastor with others who are facing similar issues. Although I enjoy attending conferences, the round table format of this Forum lends itself to openly sharing ideas and concerns, which I really appreciate.”

Jay – Missions Pastor – City Hill Church – Eden Prairie, MN
