This Thursday the STMLC (Short-Term Mission Leaders Conference) will begin. In all the talk about next week’s conference, here’s something you may not have realized. We have a mini-conference attached to a bigger conference. The national SHORT-TERM MISSION LEADERS CONFERENCE begins at 6:30 on Thursday evening April 24. But at 8:00am that same morning we begin pre-conference sessions that go all day long and are geared especially for STEM Team leaders. We call it STEM Team Leader Certification or TLC. Indeed we want it to be filled with TLC (tender loving care) because these are the ones who are at the very heart of STEM Ministries around the world. About 27 people will be coming in from at least seven states and three countries outside the US to talk about issues directly involving those leading and/or receiving STEM teams. Many of those who come regard it almost like a wonderful family reunion and look forward to the fellowship each year. Even more importantly, it’s a time when we can pray together, seeking God’s direction for STEM as we grow; we want to hold on to what is important, and flex where we need to in order to keep current in knowing how we fit in His great global plan.
Forty prospective students and their parents came to our campus visit days called Paradox on April 15 and 16.
