November was a full and exciting month for Bethany Global University! The students participated in one of two weekend events of their choice called the Furnace and the Forge. The Furnace was focused on developing intimacy with the Lord through prayer and worship, and training the students in intercession and evangelism. Along with extended times of prayer and worship, the students were also given time to go into downtown and uptown Minneapolis to put what they had learned into practice. The Forge focused on challenging the students to overcome adversity, develop mental focus, and learn how to work effectively in teams. The students have also learned the locations of their future travels with BGU, which has created a great sense of anticipation and excitement within the student body. The Sophomores have been assigned their Global Internship site locations and the Freshmen have been assigned their two week Trek trip locations. A few weeks ago the entire Bethany community came together for the Day Set Apart, a day away from class and work to fast, worship, and prayer together. This was an encouraging opportunity to seek the Lord as a community and see a new sense of unity develop. Everyone feels refreshed after their Thanksgiving break, and are looking forward to how the Lord will move in these next few weeks before Christmas!
